In its annual act of homage to all the victims of terrorism

The Rodolfo Benito Samaniego Foundation has celebrated its central act of homage to the victims of terrorism by presenting its XVII Annual Awards, with which, in addition to honouring their memory, it promotes development and innovation in the scientific-technological field and promotes the values of coexistence, peace and freedom, The Foundation encourages development and innovation in the scientific and technological field and promotes the values of coexistence, peace and freedom. Rodolfo Benito Samaniego was a young man from Alcalá who was murdered on 11 March 2004 in the terrorist attacks in Madrid, who, as the Foundation that bears his name says, made these values the focus of his life.

In this 17th edition, the Individual Coexistence Values Award went to Guillermo Martínez Gauna-Vivas, director of the NGO Ayúdame3D. Thanks to the trésdesis, 3D printed arms that this NGO distributes for free and in solidarity, people with disabilities improve their quality of life and get better opportunities for employment and schooling. 

"This is possible thanks to all the people I have surrounded myself with, thanks to a volunteer platform that is present throughout Spain helping altruistically. We are reaching about 150 people a year and hopefully next year this figure will be double" said Gauna-Vivas when receiving the award. 

This young engineer from Madrid has also received the 2020 Princess of Girona Social Foundation Award; the Social Innovation Award at the World Youth Forum in Egypt; the Unleash Award 2019 and the Sustainable Thinking Award from Optimistas Comprometidos, and is one of the 23 young people 'under 35'.under 35' called to lead the tech revolution, according to Business Insider. He has given conferences in China, Egypt, Italy, Ireland and in numerous events in Spain with a specific theme: technological development as a social purpose, to motivate companies to develop the creative-resolutionary mind and solve problems not only in their environment, but anywhere in the world.

Ayúdame3D is an organization that promotes the social values of new technologies by creating awareness programs and providing aid through 3D printing. It has educational programs that seek to promote creative-resolutionary intelligence among young people, in addition to carrying out social awareness work. It also carries out CSR actions with companies to create a more ethical and supportive business environment, and has a platform of volunteers who are experts in 3D printing. All this in order to be able to distribute aid globally: trésdesis (3D printed arms for amputees around the world).
