Our 3D Printer Party solidarity challenge, Helpis x Ukraine, has received over 4,000 donations from Helpis that will be converted into humanitarian aid for Ukraine. We couldn't be happier!
This weekend the 3D Printer Party took place in Alcobendas (Madrid), one of the most important 3D printing events in Spain. In Ayúdame3D we could not miss it and we not only wanted to attend, but we also took a very special solidarity challenge, to demonstrate once again that technology has social value: Helpis x Ukraine.
During the event participants could bring to our stand the Helpis they had made during or the days before the event. To collect them all we prepared urns, which will go to flea markets of schools and organizations where the proceeds will be converted into aid for people who have suffered amputations in the conflict in Ukraine.
The collection began on Friday at four o'clock in the afternoon with the donation of one of our Helpers3D and from that moment on we did not stop receiving in our stand visits from participants who wanted to help. Helpis of all colors were filling the ballot boxes little by little. Our surprise was enormous when we discovered that in less than 24 hours we had collected nearly 3,000 Helpis.
With great enthusiasm and thanks to the solidarity of the people on Sunday morning we finished the collection with more than 4,000 Helpis that will become humanitarian aid for Ukraine.
Everyone who came to our booth to donate their Helpis received ballots to enter the charity raffle that was held on Sunday. The first prize was a 3D printer donated by Gams3D and also included 5kg of basic 3D control filament and a copy of our story with a Helpi.
Undoubtedly this weekend has been full of emotions. From Ayúdame3D we are infinitely grateful to all of you who have turned to the solidarity challenge and to those who during this weekend have come to our stand to learn about our work. Thanks to the organization of this 3D Printer Party for an incredible event in which to share knowledge about 3D printing, meet different initiatives and makers, and spend a few great days.
Thank you for committing to social technology and demonstrating that helping is too easy not to.
