Creality collaborates with Ayúdame3D in the delivery of trésdesis to 10 people thanks to the Changing Lives campaign.
At Ayúdame3D we use the social value of 3D printing technology to change lives, creating trésdesis (3D hand and arm prostheses) and other assistive devices for people around the world. To achieve this goal we have the support of people, schools and companies that collaborate with us and make it possible for us to reach more and more people.
This year the well-known 3D printer company, Creality, celebrates its 10th anniversary and wanted to show the world all the uses of this technology and how they can have a real impact on people's lives. Thus was born the Changing Lives campaign , thanks to which from Ayúdame3D we will help 10 people with our trésdesis, printed in K1 Max, improving their quality of life and their access to new opportunities.
Saitemu, a 7-year-old boy from Kenya, was the first person to receive his trésdesis as part of this campaign. A few months ago we received an email from the team in charge of the Telva Solidarity Awards and this year's winner, Charito, who works with the organization Africa Digna in Kenya. Charito wanted to request two trésdesis for Saitemu, who suffered burns on both arms when he was a child.
Our Design and Development team immediately set about designing these customized aids. When they received the measurements, all that remained was to know the color. To do this, they asked the little boy who requested that his trésdesis be the same color as Charito's hands. All the pieces were printed on our K1 Max donated by Creality, as its wide base and internal chamber allow the creation process to be faster and more comfortable.
However, on this occasion the package was not sent, but hand-delivered to Charito, a member of Africa Digna, during the Telva Solidarity gala. She gave them directly to Saitemu, who was amazed and excited to hug again thanks to this help.
From Ayúdame3D and Creality we believe it is essential to promote the social use of 3D printing technology, which can offer unique solutions to help people. By collaborating we can reach more people and continue to demonstrate that helping is too easy not to.
