Plastics Europe collaborates once again with Ayúdame3D in the delivery of 3D printed arms in Tanzania.

Last August, Ayúdame3D traveled to Tanzania to launch its project: "10 lives in 10 days", to help 10 people in rural areas of the country with their trésdesis . Plastics Europe wanted to be part of the trip and collaborate with the delivery of three trésdesis. This organization, which promotes the reuse, collection and recycling of plastic in a sustainable way, made it possible for John, Prisca and Lorraine to receive their new prostheses.

John is a seven-year-old boy who, while playing, climbed a tree and fell, injuring his arm. After several treatments, he finally had to have his arm amputated. Lorraine's story also touched our hearts. This 31-year-old father of a family saved his sister from a hyena attack, losing part of his left hand and two fingers on his right hand. Finally, Prisca, a 29-year-old woman, a volunteer teacher at a disability center, who lost both her arms in a fire when she was young.

Three people, sources of inspiration and willpower, who thanks to the positive use of plastic have been able to improve their quality of life and have more opportunities. Once again, Plastics Europe and Ayúdame3D have demonstrated that technology has social value and can change lives.

At Ayúdame3D, we believe that collaborating is fundamental to reach more people who do not know they can be helped and, thus, be able to create a better world. Thanks to committed entities such as Plastics Europe, working in line with SDG 17 "Partnerships to achieve the goals", we can continue to help, always remembering that helping is too easy not to.
