With the start of the Christmas Solidarity Market campaign, our mini Helpis go to hundreds of homes to transmit the importance of helping.
At Ayúdame3D we work giving social value to 3D printing technology, always with the ultimate goal of helping as many people as possible. Inclusion, diversity, sustainability, cooperation and equality are some of the values, in line with the SDGs, that define our work. All of them are reflected in Helpi, our solidarity mascot.
We wanted to know more about the history of our mascot and its creator, Guille, explains that the idea came from his hobby as a toy creator and that his goal was and still is "to convey the social values of technology and transmit how nice it is to help with technology".
The process went through several tests in which the intention of making Helpi friendly was always present, that's why he made him tiny and smiling. "What I really wanted to convey is that he was very happy having a prosthetic arm, an arm that had been 3D printed. He is a child that Ayúdame3D has given a prosthesis to, he is very happy with it and he has a wonderful childhood," says Guille.
Today we can say that, with his few centimeters, his plastic structure and his prosthetic arm, he is the best adventure and project partner we have in the team. Guille tells us that it is very nice and exciting to see how more and more children want to have a Helpi doll at home or recognize him at events we attend.
"It's incredible because you are transmitting values to children that when they see a person without an arm or with a prosthesis they will see it for what it is, something totally natural." In addition, they will also see that thanks to social technology and, above all, to wanting to help, hundreds of people around the world can receive a prosthesis like the one Helpi is wearing.
The A3Dkids solidarity flea market is a technological-social educational program in which students can see how their participation in the activity directly converts into a trésdesis that will be given to a person with a disability. The schools that collaborate in this activity will receive 100 colored mini helpis to manage the flea market, whose total profit will be destined to the sponsorship of a trésdesis. In this way, Helpi becomes the reflection of the help provided by each student and each family.
